Doctor Who Walking Tour – Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the tour start and finish?
We meet close to London Bridge Station and finish close to Waterloo Station. Full meeting details will be provided when your tour is confirmed.
How long does the tour take?
The tour normally takes around 2 to 2½ hours.
Because this is a private tour, we’re not rushing to keep up with a large group. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop, take photographs and talk Doctor Who along the way.
Is this a private tour?
Yes. When you book, the tour is exclusively for you and your group. You won’t be joining a public tour or walking around London with a large group of strangers.
I’m not sure what day or time to book. Can you help?
Absolutely. In fact, many of my guests contact me before deciding.
Tell me when you’re going to be in London and what you’ve already got planned, and I’ll be happy to suggest a day and time that works well with your itinerary.
Can I change my tour date or time after booking?
Usually, yes.
I’ll always try to accommodate changes to your time or date where possible, although this depends on other bookings and availability.
Do we see locations from both classic and modern Doctor Who?
Yes. The tour covers locations connected with Doctor Who across its long history, including both the classic and modern series.
At selected locations I’ll also show you clips so you can compare the scene from Doctor Who with the location you’re actually standing in.
Do we see other historic London locations?
Yes. One of the nice things about the tour is that you’ll also see some fascinating parts of London along the way.
We pass a number of historic sites and landmarks, although we don’t enter them as part of the tour.
Do you visit the Doctor Who Shop?
No. The Doctor Who Shop is outside the area covered by our walking route, so we’re unable to include it during the tour.
If you’d like to visit it while you’re in London, just ask me and I’ll happily explain how to get there.
Do we visit the Doctor Who Police Box at Earl’s Court?
No. The police box isn’t on our central London walking route.
However, it’s very easy to visit independently. You’ll find it just outside Earl’s Court Underground Station.

What happens if the weather is bad?
We’re in London — occasionally it rains!
The tour normally goes ahead whatever the weather, so please check the forecast and dress appropriately.
In more than 12 years of running the tour, I’ve only had to rearrange two tours because of extreme weather — once because of heavy rain and, surprisingly, once because it was simply too hot!
If conditions genuinely make the tour impractical, I’ll contact you and we’ll look at the options.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your tour and receive a full refund.
Is the tour suitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users?
Yes, wherever possible I will adapt the tour to suit you.
Because this is a private tour, we have much more flexibility than a large organised walking tour. If you use a wheelchair, have limited mobility or simply need to take things at a slower pace, please let me know when you enquire.
I can discuss your individual requirements with you beforehand and, where necessary, adjust the route and pace to make the tour as accessible and enjoyable as possible.
